The OnePlus 9 lineup is unlikely to go beyond the OnePlus 9 RT, so we can start talking about the OnePlus 10 series now. We have been seeing a steady flow on OnePlus 10 series news in recent weeks, with the most recent one being the launch timeline. Earlier this month, 91mobiles exclusively learned that the company has started testing its upcoming OnePlus 10 series smartphones. Further, we learned that the smartphone would be launching in January or February. Later, tipster Max Jambor revealed that the OnePlus 10 Pro would be first unveiled in China in January, and it would arrive in the global markets later in April. Once again, we have got more information about the upcoming Pro model.
Notable tipster Ice Universe suggests that the triple rear camera module of the OnePlus 10 Pro would include a telephoto lens with 3.3x optical zoom and 30x digital. There’s no word on the specifications of other cameras, but we know that the OnePlus 10 Pro would be coming with a triple camera setup. So, we can assume that the other two cameras could be standard and ultra-wide cameras. Also, the OnePlus-Hasselblad partnership is still in place, meaning we could see some Hasselblad optimisations on the next series as well. Earlier, a report suggested that the OnePlus 10 Pro would come with a 5x periscope lens, but the chances of that happening seem quite low.
OnePlus 10, OnePlus 10 Pro specifications (expected)
The OnePlus 10 Pro might come with a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner of the screen to house the selfie camera. The smartphone would have a square-shaped camera module housing a triple camera setup as per the leaked renders. Further, it might boast a 5,000mAh battery with support for 125W charging.
The vanilla OnePlus 10 is expected to sport a flat AMOLED panel with an in-display fingerprint sensor and hole-punch cutout. Both the smartphones would be powered by the next-gen top-of-the-line Snapdragon chipsets, dubbed as Snapdragon 898 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The OnePlus 10 might also come with a 5,000mAh battery, but it could have a slower 65W charging. We should be getting more details about OnePlus’ upcoming smartphones in the coming weeks.
