Jio Phone recharge plans priced at Rs 99, Rs 153, Rs 297, and Rs 594 discontinued

Highlights
  • The four Jio Phone recharge plans have been quietly removed from the company’s website
  • Customers can only buy Rs 75, Rs 125, Rs 155 and Rs 185 Jio Phone recharge packs
  • All the remaining plans come with a validity of 28 days, and all long-term plans being cancelled altogether

The Jio Phone recharge plan list has been updated, with the company scrapping the Rs 99, Rs 153, Rs 297, and Rs 594 packs. While some of the discontinued Jio Phone recharges overlapped with existing plans, others would likely have been too expensive for subscribers. Unfortunately, the Rs 297 and Rs 594 Jio Phone recharge plans were the only ones that came with a validity of 84 and 168 days, respectively. Henceforth, users will have no choice but to recharge their 4G feature phones every month as all long-term plans appear to have been removed. As of today, there are a total of four plans available for Jio Phone users, priced at Rs 75, Rs 125, Rs 155, and Rs 185 on the Reliance Jio website.

The entry-level Rs 75 Jio Phone recharge plan gives you 3GB of 4G data for 28 days. It is a significantly lesser value than the cancelled Rs 99 plan, which offered users 0.5GB of data per day for the same period. Similarly, the Rs 153 plan got your 1.5GB of data a day, for 28 days. The new Rs 155 plan gets you only 1GB of data per day for the same duration. Lastly, the Rs 125 plan 0.5GB data per day and the Rs 185 plan 2GB of data per day for 28 days.

All four plans come with other benefits such as unlimited free voice calling to all networks, 100 SMS messages per day, and complimentary access to Jio apps. Earlier this year, there were reports of Jio working on three annual plans worth Rs 1,001, Rs 1,301, and 1,501, but they don’t seem to be official yet.
