After successfully launching the Neo 7 series in Indian markets, iQOO is now preparing to launch its successor, the iQOO Neo 8 series. The iQOO Neo 8 launch is expected to be in May 2023 and the lineup is said to feature two models: the iQOO Neo 8 and iQOO Neo 8 Pro. However, popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed iQOO Neo 8 Pro specifications via a post on Weibo ahead of the smartphone’s launch.
In other news, the Vivo subsidiary also recently slashed the prices of the Neo 6 smartphone by Rs 5,000 in India.
iQOO Neo 8 Pro specifications (expected)
The tip suggests that the iQOO Neo 8 Pro will sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, 2800 x 1260 pixels resolution, and a PWM Dimming support of 2160Hz. It is also tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. While the iQOO Neo 8 Pro variant is tipped to be powered by the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC built on a 4nm process, the vanilla model is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Notably, the iQOO Neo 7 launched in India with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+. The Pro variant is further said to come with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is also expected to run on Android 13-based FuntouchOS 13 out of the box.
Moving to optics, the tipster claims that the iQOO Neo 8 Pro will house a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary back camera sensor, an ultra-wide angle sensor along with a telephoto sensor. The camera sensor is expected to be 1/1.5-inch large. No further information regarding the optics has yet been revealed by the company or the tipster.
