Samsung Galaxy A72 camera specifications tipped a day after design leak

Highlights
  • Samsung Galaxy A72 camera specifications have been leaked online
  • The phone is said to sport a 64MP primary camera
  • The primary sensor will be aided by a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 5MP depth unit

Samsung Galaxy A72 has been in the news in the past few days thanks to the leaked renders that showed off the entire design. These reiterated the fact that the phone will have quad-cameras and not five as speculated earlier. Now, thanks to a report from GalaxyClub, the Samsung Galaxy A72 5G camera specifications have leaked online. The handset is said to sport a 64MP primary camera aided by a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 5MP depth unit. The rear-camera setup is similar to that of the predecessor Galaxy A71. This suggests there may not be significant upgrades with regards to the camera performance. Details regarding the front-camera haven’t been leaked at the moment.

Speculations are rife that Samsung Galaxy A72 could be the first A-series phone to come with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support. However, that can’t be confirmed at the moment. Furthermore, the smartphone’s 4G variant is said to have a model number SM-A725F, while the 5G version is tipped to carry SM-A726B.

Reports suggest both the models will land in Europe, where the Samsung Galaxy A72 4G price will be between €450 (approx Rs 40,500-€500 (around 45,000). Similarly, the 5G variant will cost between €550 (approx Rs 49,500) and €600 (around Rs 54,000). Unfortunately, the report hasn’t revealed the Samsung Galaxy A72 launch date just yet, but rumours suggest it will happen in the first half of 2021. The 4G variant may eventually land in India as well. We should know more details soon, so stick around.
