Samsung Galaxy A32 5G specifications revealed via FCC website

Highlights
  • Samsung Galaxy A32 5G has shown up on the US FCC website
  • The listing reveals Samsung Galaxy A32 specifications such as 15W fast-charging, dual-band Wi-Fi, and 5G support
  • Samsung is likely to use a MediaTek Dimensity chipset on the Galaxy A32 5G

Low-cost 5G-ready smartphones are yet to become a thing, though that is changing rapidly thanks to efforts by the likes of Xiaomi, Realme and now, Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G just showed up on the United States FCC (Federal Communications Commission) website. The listing tells us that the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G will support fast charging at 15W speed. Little else is known about the smartphone at this point, but more information should surface as time passes. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is likely to be priced affordably and may bring marginal improvements over its predecessor, the Galaxy A31

Now that the Galaxy A32’s 5G status has been confirmed, it is obvious that it will come with a chipset that supports the technology. There are not too many of those going around, so we’re likely looking at a MediaTek Dimensity SoC. Alternatively, Samsung could even go the OnePlus Nord N10 5G way and use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 690. It could, in all likelihood, also use a yet-to-be-released chipset from either company. Regardless of the silicon used, it will be one of the few affordable 5G smartphones on the market.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G will also be one of the few affordable smartphones to support dual-band Wi-Fi. Although the feature is fairly commonplace in mid-range and high-end smartphones, the feature is largely overlooked in the budget segment altogether. Its quad-camera array could get a makeover too, although the primary 48MP sensor might remain the same. Lastly, the listing also tells us that the Galaxy A32 5G will run Android 11-based One UI 3.0 out of the box.
