iPhone 12 Pro specifications
The iPhone 12 Pro specifications are as follows: a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED 60Hz refresh rate display with 2,532 x 1,170 pixels resolution, HDR 10 support, and Ceramic Shield. The handset is powered by the A14 Bionic chipset paired with 4GB RAM and up to 512GB non-expandable storage. As for the cameras, the iPhone 12 Pro is equipped with three camera sensors in a square-shaped module at the back consisting of a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FoV, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom. On the front, the handset rocks a 12MP True Depth sensor for selfies and video chats. Lastly, the Apple smartphone is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance and packs FaceID for security.
Should you buy iPhone 12 Pro?
Even after the hefty discount, the iPhone 12 Pro isn’t cheaper than the iPhone 13, with which it shares most of its traits. The iPhone 13 (review) is selling on Amazon.in at a starting price of Rs 79,900. The handset has arguably the same design and formfactor as the iPhone 12 Pro, thanks to the 6.1-inch 60Hz OLED display. The sensor-shift technology, which was exclusive to the Pro models last year, is now available with the regular iPhone models as well. This means that you won’t find much difference between iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 Pro camera performance, except when you zoom.
The dedicated telephoto lens on iPhone 12 Pro ensures that you get better results for zoomed up shots. The handset’s camera system also rocks a LiDAR sensor that not only helps AR apps and games (like Apple’s own Measure app for instance) but also helps with focusing. So if you are really into photography, the iPhone 12 Pro at Rs 94,900 seems like a better deal. Otherwise, you can go with iPhone 13, which comes with a faster A15 Bionic chipset than A14.
