Back in August, three new Xiaomi devices emerged online: Evergreen, Evergo, and Ingres. Now, new details about the device codenamed Ingres have appeared on the internet, hinting that it will be unveiled under three different Xiaomi brands in different regions. According to a recent report, the Xiaomi Ingres is expected to debut as Redmi K50 Pro in China. However, it might come with different monikers in other regions. The report suggests that the Ingres would be launching as Xiaomi 12X in India and POCO F4 Pro in other parts of the globe. The Xiaomi 12X and POCO F4 Pro will be succeeding the Xiaomi Mi 11X and POCO F3 GT, launched earlier this year, respectively.
As per a recent report from XiaomiMIUI, the Xiaomi Ingres bears the model number L11. The same model number is being tipped to belong to an upcoming Redmi K50 series smartphone. Moreover, the smartphone codenamed Ingres recently appeared on different IMEI databases. It bears 22011211C in China and 22011211I in India. Meanwhile, it has model number 22011211G for the global market, suggesting that the smartphone would be coming out of China but with different names.
In China, the smartphone is listed under the Redmi brand. In India, it’s identified as a Xiaomi smartphone, while in the global IMEI database, the smartphone is listed as a POCO smartphone.
However, this recent report from XiaomiMIUI contradicts a previous finding where Xiaomi 12X was spotted on the IMEI database with a different model number. According to a picture of the IMEI listing of Xiaomi 12X shared by Kacper Skrzypek, the Xiaomi 12X bears the model number 2112123AG, codenamed “psyche”. Further, the said smartphone is not expected to arrive in India. And it won’t be surprising if Xiaomi launches a different smartphone as 12X in other parts of the world and a different one in India.
The Xiaomi 12X with model number 2112123AG is rumoured to come with a 6.28-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and HDR 10 support. Further, the smartphone might be powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC and feature a 50MP main camera.
Redmi K50 Pro, Xiaomi 12X, POCO F4 Pro specifications (rumoured)
As of now, there’s not much known about the specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi smartphones, but they are expected to bear the same design and internals. However, some previous reports shed some light on the specifications of the upcoming smartphone. The next-gen flagship Snapdragon chipset might power the upcoming smartphones with part number SM8450, expected to be introduced as Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The upcoming smartphones are said to incorporate latest Qualcomm’s latest X65 5G modem.
Moreover, the Redmi K50 Pro, Xiaomi 12X and POCO F4 Pro would come in 8GB, 12GB and 16GB RAM options, depending on the region. Further, these smartphones might feature a 64MP OmniVision OV64B primary sensor paired with an ultrawide and a macro camera. The smartphones could also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor instead of a side-mounted one found in the last generation of these smartphones.
The Redmi K50 series is expected to debut in January 2022. We expect Xiaomi 12X and POCO F4 Pro to arrive in the coming months in other regions.
