Vivo has launched a new Vivo Y52s variant in China. It is called the Vivo Y52s (t1 Edition) and it comes with some interesting specifications such as 5G connectivity. For all intents and purposes, it is essentially a Vivo Y52 5G with a fresh coat of paint and one new piece of hardware. The Vivo Y52s (t1) features dual rear cameras, a high refresh-rate screen, and a large battery that supports fast charging. For now, the smartphone is available for purchase only in China, but it shouldn’t be long before the Vivo Y52s (t1 Edition) is launched globally.
Vivo Y52s (t1 Edition) price
The Vivo Y52s (t1) costs RMB 1,999 (approx Rs 22,000) in China and is available through JD.com. It is available in three colour variants, namely Titanium Grey, Coral and Gradient. There appears to be only one variant of the smartphone with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Vivo Y52s (t1 Edition) specifications
As mentioned earlier, the Vivo Y52s (t1) is a refresh of the Vivo Y52s launched earlier. However, there is an important distinction between the two smartphones. The Vivo Y52s (t1) uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset for 5G connectivity, whereas the Vivo Y52s is powered by a 5G MediaTek chip. Everything else is identical across the board, including the 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. A waterdrop notch on the screen houses the smartphone’s 8MP selfie camera module.
At the back, we get two camera sensors- a 48MP primarily lens and a 2MP depth sensor. This setup is somewhat confusing, given that quad rear cameras are nearly industry standard, especially for Chinese OEMs. Other Vivo Y52s (t1) features include a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 802.11 b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.
