Samsung Galaxy A22 5G receives FCC certification ahead of imminent launch

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G launch seems to be around the corner as the phone has been bagging all the required certifications. The handset had recently appeared on Google Play Console, Wi-Fi Alliance, Bluetooth SIG, and TUV Rheinland certifications. Now, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G has been spotted on the FCC certification with the model number SM-A226B, revealing some key hardware details. The listing shows the phone will have a 5,000mAh battery (4,900mAh typical) and 15W fast-charging support. Connectivity features could include dual-band Wi-Fi, 5G connectivity, and a dual-SIM option. However, it will miss out on NFC.

Samsung Galaxy A22 4G and Galaxy A22 5G specifications

Samsung Galaxy A22 will be available in both 4G and 5G variants. It could flaunt a 6.4-inch HD+ AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The 4G version could be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, however, RAM and storage details aren’t revealed yet. It is likely to run Android 11-based OneUI custom skin on top. As for the cameras, the Galaxy A22 4G version is said to sport quad-cameras at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, a 5MP secondary lens, and a couple of 2MP sensors. It could have a 13MP sensor on the front for selfies and video chats. The handset measures 8.5mm in thickness and 185 grams.

As for the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G, it gets the same 6.4-inch display but with an FHD+ resolution and LCD display instead of an AMOLED panel. The 5G version could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. It will have triple cameras at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, a 5MP secondary lens, and a 2MP sensor. It will be thicker at 9mm and heavier 205 grams. Both the models could get a 5,000mAh battery and 15W fast-charging.
