Here’s how Realme 8 Pro will take on Redmi Note 10 Pro Max

1. Quad cameras with Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor

Realme 8 Pro is confirmed to come with a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 primary sensor in its quad-camera setup. It’s the same sensor that the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max also uses. Click on the links to check out the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max and Realme 8 Pro camera samples.

The 108MP sensor on the Note 10 Pro Max also gets a 5MP super-macro sensor with 2x zoom, an 8MP 118-degree wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. The 108MP quad-camera setup on Realme 8 Pro will be backed by 3x zoom, New Starry Mode with support for timelapse video, tilt-shift, and portrait mode with three new filters. The resolution of other sensors remains vague at the moment.

2. Snapdragon 732G SoC

Apart from the cameras, the Realme 8 Pro chipset, at least for the 4G variant, will allegedly be the same as the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. The Realme mobile phone is rumoured to rock Qualcomm’s gaming-focused Snapdragon 732G SoC under the hood. The chipset is coupled with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage onboard.

3. Realme 8 Pro will be future-ready

Rumours are rife for Realme 8 Pro 5G variant. This will make the smartphone future-ready and can give Redmi Note 10 Pro Max a run for its money. The Redmi mobile phone, to recall, does not come with 5G support. The Realme 8 Pro 5G is speculated to be powered by a slightly powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC. The configurations for this variant could be the same as the phone’s 4G model.

4. Faster charging solution

The Realme 8 Pro will have a 50W SuperDart fast charging solution that is rated to juice up the rumoured 4,500mAh battery from 0 to 50 per cent in just 17 minutes and 100 per cent in 47 minutes. The phone’s arch-rival Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, on the other hand, supports a slightly slower 33W fast charging solution. Having said that, the Xiaomi smartphone packs a beefier 5,020mAh battery.

5. FHD+ AMOLED display

The Realme 8 Pro will also share its traits with Redmi Note 10 Pro Max in the display department. The phone will sport an FHD+ AMOLED display that is expected to be 6.67-inch tall and employ a punch-hole setup for the selfie camera, much like the Note 10 Pro Max. Both the Realme 8 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro will offer a standard 60Hz refresh rate.

These were some of the major areas where Realme 8 Pro will compete against the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. The handset is also expected to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner instead of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone will run Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. If the Realme 8 Pro is priced on par with Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, its base variant could cost Rs 18,999.
