Lava Be U budget smartphone has been launched in India. The Lava Be U is marketed as a ‘women-centric’ smartphone for ‘free-spirited women’. Its Rose Pink back cover, crystal-studded camera and a floral speaker mesh complete the aesthetic. Lava Be U price in India is Rs 6,888, which puts it alongside the likes of the Realme C11 and Poco C3. Currently, there is no word about the Lava Be U sale date in India, but we can expect to learn more about it in the coming days. The smartphone will be available for purchase on both online and offline platforms.

Lava Be U specs include an octa-core Unisoc (formerly known as Spreadtrum) SC9863A SoC and an IMG8322 GPU. Unlike Qualcomm and MediaTek, UNISOC mostly operated under the shadows, with the SC9863A being able to trade blows with the MediaTek Helio P22 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 439. The Lava Be U comes with a 6-inch IPS LCD panel and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that needs to be charged via a micro USB port.
The Lava Be U comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a micro SD card. Its rear camera array consists of a 13MP primary sensor assisted by a 2MP macro lens. An 8MP module takes care of selfies and video calls. Unlike similarly-specced offerings from Realme and Xiaomi, the Lava Be U lacks AI-driven features like beauty mode and Bokeh due to the fact that it runs Android Go (based on Android 10) out of the box.
