The Moto G42 is all set to launch in India in a couple of days. Motorola recently confirmed the phone’s launch in India country through a dedicated microsite on Flipkart. To recall, the Moto G42 made its global debut alongside the Moto G62 just a few weeks ago. The two mid-range smartphones have a lot in common, including the battery, camera system, and software. The Moto G42 is an affordable mid-range smartphone and speculations are strife that the phone will be priced around Rs 15,000 in the country. The Moto G42 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ OLED display, which should deliver rich and vibrant colours. However, you only get a standard 60Hz refresh rate as opposed to rival phones in the segment that come with 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rates. 

Powering the Moto G42 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. This is not a 5G smartphone, in case you were wondering. The handset runs on Android 12 with a near-stock UI.

In the camera department, the Moto G42 comes equipped with a 50MP primary camera with PDAF and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. At the front, the smartphone features a 16MP camera for selfies and video chats.

The Moto G42 packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging. Other features include dual stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IP52 water-resistant design.
