Not too long ago, Motorola took the wraps off its Moto G52 smartphone. While the brand is still launching several variants of its Moto G52 series, leaks regarding the upcoming Moto G62 5G have started popping up on the internet already. In a recent turn of events, the upcoming Moto G62 5G has been spotted on the Malaysian SIRIM certification website, which confirms its moniker and suggests that the launch of the device is imminent. Let’s take a look.
Moto G62 5G moniker confirmed via SIRIM
The Moto G62 5G SIRIM listing has been spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings). As seen in the tweet above, the Moto G62 5G (with the model number Motorola XT2223-1) has recently received the SIRIM certification. The certification necessarily means that the Asian launch of the device must be imminent. For now, the device has not received any more certifications in the other countries, but we can expect the same to happen in the coming days.
Sadly enough, the SIRIM listing does not tell us anything about the specifications of the Moto G62 5G, save for the fact that it will be, well, a 5G mobile device. That said, we can expect the Moto G62 5G to feature upgraded specifications when compared with its predecessor, Moto G52.
Moto G62 5G specifications (expected)
The Moto G62 5G is expected to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor (or a mid-range 5G Snapdragon chipset), a high refresh rate AMOLED display, a 5,000mAh battery with support for fast charging, Android 12 out of the box with the company’s proprietary MyUX skin on top, and a triple rear camera setup.
