The upcoming Moto Edge X30 will be using the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform, the company has confirmed. Motorola has also revealed that the Moto Edge X30 launch date in China is December 9th. This means it will be among the first, if not the first, phones to launch with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Motorola is the latest OEM to confirm the use of the chipset. Xiaomi and Realme have also confirmed using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on the Xiaomi 12 and Realme GT 2 Pro, respectively.
Moto Edge X30 launch date revealed
The Motorola Edge X30 had popped up via a Weibo post, which highlighted some features of the device as we had covered in our article. Speculations had also suggested that the Moto Edge X30 will be packed in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform. Ahead of its launch, Motorola has now teased that the Moto Edge X30 will indeed get the latest flagship processor from Qualcomm and is all set for the China launch scheduled for December 9th.
Tipster Mukul Sharma shared a teaser image consisting of a graphical representation of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The new chipset takes performance and connectivity levels to a whole another level. The chipset packs in the fastest AI Engine in the world, the world’s first 10 Gigabit 5G modem-RF solution, as well as the first 18-bit ISP. The Realme GT 2 Pro running on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset was spotted on AnTuTu benchmark listings with a record-breaking 1 million-plus score.
More on the Moto Edge X30 specifications, the device is expected to get a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 60MP camera on the front. More specific details are yet to be uncovered.
