State-led BSNL has introduced a new Rs 187 prepaid recharge plan for its customers across the country. This comes with multiple benefits such as 100 SMS per day, 2GB of data per day, and a validity of 28 days. Users will also get access to free ringtones. In comparison, Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone Idea offer a similar pack at Rs 199, which makes the BSNL plan cheaper but the lack of a proper 4G network is still a problem for BSNL. On the other hand, Jio, Airtel, and Vi are already busy with 5G trails and are expected to auction for spectrum in the latter half of 2022.
In comparison, Airtel only offers 1GB of data per day, unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day, and a validity of 24 days. Other benefits include unlimited calling, 30 days subscription to Amazon Prime Video Mobile, Airtel XStream, Wynk Music, and Hello Tunes. The Jio Rs 199 pack offers 1.5GB of daily data, unlimited calls, and 24 days validity. Jio offers access to JioTV, Jio Cinema, Jio News, Jio Security, and Jio Cloud. Lastly, Vi offers 1GB of data, unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day, and access to Vi Movies in the plan.
The BSNL Rs 187 prepaid pack offers 2GB of data per day, 100 SMS per day, calling benefits, and access to free ringtones. It has a validity of 28 days. The prepaid pack can be recharged through the BSNL website and third-party websites/apps. The BSNL plan offers 1GB of extra data per day and the validity is also 4 days extra. But as said above, the lack of a proper 4G network in most parts is still a problem since the data will be limited to 3G.
