Highlights
  • Motorola Moto G51 5G will be the successor to the Motorola Moto G50 5G.

  • The smartphone will have the same 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage configuration as its predecessor.

Motorola Moto G50 5G, which just launched recently in August this year in select markets, may finally get its successor pretty soon. Motorola has not announced any details regarding the upcoming Motorola Moto G51 5G, but the device has now been spotted on the Geekbench listing. The listing reveals some of the key specifications of the upcoming Motorola phone, including the chipset, RAM, and software. Let’s take a look at it below.

Motorola Moto G51 5G specifications

The Geekbench listing tells us that the upcoming smartphone will run on Android 11 out of the box. Considering Android 12 has already launched, the device could get the latest software version via an OTA update after its launch. The variant listed on the portal has 4GB RAM which will likely be paired with 128GB of internal storage, though we could expect a 6GB ram variant as well.

The listing also reveals a Qualcomm CPU with a base clock speed of 1.9Ghz and a total of eight cores, meaning the device should feature Snapdragon 750G SOC. The two higher cores are clocked at 2.21Ghz. This is a significant upgrade over Mediatek Dimensity 700, which was used in Moto G50 5G. The device scored 543 and 1675 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Other details of the phone were not available from the listing.

The Motorola Moto G51 5G could be still a few weeks away from its launch. We expect more developments around the device in the upcoming weeks.
