This week Realme announced two new smartphones in the Realme 8 series, the Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8i, and the new Realme Pad. Now, it seems that the company is gearing up to launch a new C-series smartphone in the country soon. 91mobiles has exclusively learned from industry sources that Realme will introduce C25Y in India by the end of September. The smartphone could be the lighter version of Realme C25 (review), which was launched in India earlier this year. As of now, there is no word on the Realme C25Y price in India and specifications.

If the Realme C25Y indeed turns out to be the lighter version of the regular Realme C25, it could be priced below Rs 9,000. The smartphone may rock a slightly underpowered chipset compared to the Realme C25. The latter, for those unaware, rocks MediaTek Helio G70 coupled with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage under the hood. The phone’s specifications also include a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a standard refresh rate of 60Hz and TUV Rheinland certification. It runs Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11 and houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging.
For photography, the Realme C25 features a triple rear camera setup, including a 48MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP B&W shooter. On the front, it has an 8MP camera housed inside the waterdrop notch for selfies. The phone comes with connectivity features such as dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a micro-USB port.
The Realme C25 price in India is currently set at Rs 9,999 for the base storage variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The top-end 4GB+128GB storage variant retails at Rs 10,999.
