Xiaomi has been teasing a new Mi Notebook with a backlit keyboard that is likely to debut at the Mi Smarter Living 2022 event on August 26th. Additionally, the company will reportedly launch the Mi Band 6 and more products at the event later this month. Here’s a closer look at some of the products launching at the upcoming event.
Mi Smarter Living 2022 event is set for August 26th
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mi Smarter Living 2022 event will be held on August 26th at 12 PM IST. The company has not revealed the products it plans to unveil at the event, but a new report sheds some light on the matter.
India Today Tech has learned from Xiaomi Chief Business Officer Raghu Reddy that the Mi Notebook with a backlit keyboard will be launched. The new Mi Notebook’s specifications and features remain under wraps for now. Reddy also revealed that the new Mi Notebooks will mean that the existing lineup will be discontinued. This means the Mi Notebook 14, Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition and Mi Notebook 14 e-learning edition will not be available following the launch of the new models.
Additionally, the Mi Smarter Living 2022 event on August 26th at 12 noon will see the launch of the Mi Band 6. The high-anticipated successor to the popular Mi Band 5 made its debut in China back in March. It features a 1.56-inch AMOLED display, SpO2 sensor, 30 exercise modes, and 14-day battery life. The Mi Band 6 price in China is CNY 229 (approx. Rs 2,500) for the non-NFC version. We expect the fitness band to launch in India with a price tag of Rs 2,499, much like its predecessor.
