iQOO’s next lineup of smartphones, called the iQOO 8 series, has been spotted on Geekbench just ahead of its August 17th launch. The Vivo-owned Chinese brand iQOO has been found aggressively teasing its new flagship lineup for 2021 quite a few times now. The lineup will consist of two devices – the iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro. The device follows the 2021 standard when it comes to specifications and features the Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC with multiple RAM variants on offer. The device that surfaced on Geekbench had 8GB of RAM featuring alongside the Qualcomm SoC. Let’s find out more.
iQOO 8 specifications confirmed on Geekbench listing
iQOO 8 specifications have been confirmed via teasers on social media handles by the company. The latest development comes in the form of a Geekbench listing (via MySmartPrice), which reveals some key specs of the upcoming flagship. The model number that the iQOO 8 will carry is V2141A. The details however do not disclose whether the listing is of the vanilla iQOO 8 or the iQOO 8 Pro model.
The Geekbench listing confirms the presence of Snapdragon 888+ SoC from Qualcomm and 8GB RAM on the test variant. The 5nm processor has its main core clocked at 3.0GHz and is paired with Adreno 660 GPU. The device in question here will run on Android 11 with a layer of OriginOS or FuntouchOS 11 on top. This will depend on the region it will be selling in. The iQOO 8 has clocked a 3696 in multi-core and 1133 in single-core tests on Geekbench.
Previously we had confirmed important specifications of the phone. The iQOO 8 will be offered in a 12GB RAM variant and will also feature an extended RAM feature up to 4GB. The entire lineup will use a 120W wired fast charging and the ‘Pro’ models will support 50W wireless charging and a 10W reverse charging option.

iQOO 8 Pro will get some added goodies over and above the line-up’s triple camera setup. The iQOO 8 Pro comes with VIS five-axis anti-shake micro-cloud gimbal stabilisation. The triple camera unit includes a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 16MP sensor with a focal length of 14-60mm. The iQOO 8 is also slated to feature a curved 2K panel that refreshes at 120Hz.
The iQOO 8 Pro price is said to be around 5,299 yuan (approx. Rs 60,000) but the actual pricing will be known during tomorrow’s launch event. Stay tuned for more.
