Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A52 4G and the Galaxy A52 5G earlier this year. While the Galaxy A52 4G made its way to India, the Galaxy A52 5G is yet to make it to the Indian shores. Rumour has it that Samsung will launch the Galaxy A52 5G in India very soon. In the meantime, Samsung seems to be working on a new version of the Galaxy A52, and this upcoming smartphone could be called the Galaxy A52s 5G. The phone was spotted (via MySmartPrice) on the Bureau of India Standard (BIS) certification platform today. Going by the name, the Galaxy A52s 5G seems to be an advanced version of the Galaxy A52 5G. Considering that the phone was certified by BIS, it could launch in India soon.
Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G certified through BIS
An unannounced Samsung smartphone bearing the model number SM-A528B/DS was certified through the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification platform. Considering the model numbers from Samsung and its naming convention, the SM-A528B/DS is being expected to be called the Galaxy A52s 5G. Going by the name, the Galaxy A52s 5G seems to be an advanced version of the Galaxy A52 5G. Considering that the phone has been certified through the BIS platform, it is highly likely that the Galaxy A52s 5G will be launched in the Indian market.
The ‘DS’ in the model number suggests that the Galaxy A52s 5G is a dual-SIM device. Unfortunately, the BIS certification does not reveal any other Galaxy A52s 5G specifications. Samsung has launched ‘s’ version of its Galaxy A series and Galaxy M series smartphones in the past. For example, the company had launched the Galaxy A50s only a few months after the launch of the Galaxy A50. The Galaxy A50s had an upgraded camera setup compared to the Galaxy A50, among other changes. So, it is possible that the Galaxy A52s 5G could also come with an upgraded camera over the Galaxy A52 5G. However, there is no concrete information regarding it at the moment.
