POCO X3 GT was announced globally on Wednesday as a rebranded Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G. The phone will be available in several markets, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Following the launch, POCO fans in India wanted to know when the POCO X3 GT will launch in the country. Unfortunately, there is some bad news. The POCO X3 GT will not be launching in India and this comes directly from the POCO India Country Director Anuj Sharma. Read on to know why the POCO X3 GT will not be launching in India.
POCO X3 GT has no place in the brand’s portfolio for India
Anuj Sharma tweeted an update on the POCO X3 GT India launch. He said that the brand already offers the POCO X3 Pro and POCO F3 GT in India in two segments. In such a case, the company does not feel the need to bring the POCO X3 GT and cause a confusion in the portfolio.
Sharma says that the brand has “big plans for the future, but the POCO X3 GT is not part of them.” This pretty much confirms that the POCO X3 GT will not be launching in India. The phone has been launched as a less powerful version of the POCO F3 GT.
POCO X3 GT specifications include a 6.6-inch FHD+ 120Hz display and the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset. The phone comes equipped with 64MP triple rear cameras and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. POCO X3 GT runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 and offers up to 8GB RAM.
POCO X3 GT price is set at USD 200 (approx. Rs 22,200). To recall, the brand launched the POCO F3 GT in India with a starting price of Rs 26,999. Meanwhile, the POCO X3 Pro was unveiled back on March 30th with a starting price of Rs 18,999. The POCO X3 GT sits perfectly between the two devices, but the brand feels it would clutter up the portfolio in India.
