Airtel revises prepaid plans, to now start at Rs 79; has discontinued this sub-Rs 50 plan

Bharti Airtel has bite the bullet again. The company has announced revisions to Airtel Prepaid plans, a move aimed to help strengthen its ARPU (average revenue per user). The new message appears to be that the direction to follow is of boosting profitability and not just chasing subscriber numbers. Airtel Prepaid packs will now start from Rs 79 Smart Recharge.
