Facebook is bringing new filters to video calls for Instagram, Messenger

Social networking giant Facebook has announced that it is set to add support for AR-based filters during video calls soon. The company will be adding this functionality for both Instagram and Messenger, it announced at its virtual F8 developer conference. These apps have been offering support for AR effects for a long time, but the option to use them for a multiplayer setup during a live game or chat will be new.
