In the latest WhatsApp beta version for Android, the messaging app includes new hints that suggest that the app will receive text-based sticker suggestions. As of now, the feature is under development and is not accessible to users. WhatsApp will roll out this feature in the near future for both Android and iOS platforms. Stickers are an excellent and easy way to convey a message and are also quite fun. With the new feature, users will be able to quickly use stickers based on their text input.
WhatsApp Sticker suggestions
WhatsApp is currently working on a new feature for its messaging app, which will make it easy for users to add stickers into conversations. WABetainfo has discovered hints to this feature, and also provided a preview of how it would work. The feature will offer text-based sticker suggestions in a corner of the chat bar.
When you type in a word, WhatsApp will quickly search for stickers that match the word. If it does find stickers related to what you typed, you will then a sticker suggestion on the chat bar. The right side of the chat bar will flash a sticker icon, indicating that a sticker has been found. You can then tap on the suggestion and choose a sticker to add to the conversation.
Now, according to the finding, this feature will work with official sticker packs that are already available in WhatsApp. However, the company could allow third-party sticker support in the long run. Developers of sticker packs would have to add support for this new feature by themselves.
The feature is similar to what’s already available on Google’s Gboard keyboard, which works with WhatsApp. Users like sending stickers and emojis, and these features make it easier for them to find emojis based on the text. We will let you know when this new feature is available on WhatsApp.
