Samsung Galaxy S21 FE specifications have been spotted on the Geekbench website ahead of its imminent launch. There is no launch date yet but past reports suggest the smartphone will launch in August alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. A report back in February speculated that the Samsung SM-G990B model number is in the works and it could be called the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. Now, 91mobiles has discovered the same model number in Geekbench. The listing reveals key Samsung Galaxy S21 FE specs, including the chipset, RAM, and software.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE specifications
According to the Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (SM-G990B) will come with the chipset named Lahaina, which is the codename for Snapdragon 888. This means the Galaxy S21 FE will be a flagship phone like the vanilla Galaxy S21. We can also expect the Snapdragon 888-powered Galaxy S21 FE to launch in India. The Geekbench listing also reveals that the phone will come with 6GB RAM and Android 11 out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition) is likely to get a lot of the same features as the Galaxy S21 but with a more affordable price tag. Past renders have shown that the phone will look similar to the Galaxy S21 as well, with a centre-aligned punch-hole camera and a rear camera module that curves along the edges. As per a SafetyKorea certification, the Galaxy S21 FE will pack a 4,500mAh battery. The handset is also tipped to launch in White, Light Violet, Light Green, and Gray colour options. That’s all we know about the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE as of now. The device is expected to launch in August so we should hear more about it in the coming weeks.
