Redmi Note 8 (2021) edition seems to be in the works as the phone has received Bluetooth SIG certification with the model number M1908C3JGG, as spotted by MySmartPrice. Considering that the original Redmi Note 8 that launched back in 2019 was awarded as the bang-for-buck offering in the budget segment, it doesn’t come as a surprise the company wants to release a sequel to it. However, the naming scheme could be confusing now that Redmi has launched the Note 10 series in several markets. The Bluetooth listing shows the phone will come with MIUI 12+ and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. The handset was recently spotted on the FCC website, which revealed specs like the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging support.

XioamiUI had recently claimed the device will have a codename ‘biloba’ and it will come with a 48MP quad-camera setup. The smartphone may come in 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB storage variants. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much everything we so far know about the Redmi Note 8 (2021) but we hope to learn more information soon.
