Samsung Galaxy A52 gets Galaxy S21 camera features via new OTA update

Samsung Galaxy S21 series is the company’s current flagship and has all the best camera features the brand has to offer. Now, some of the flagship camera features seen on Galaxy S21 have started rolling out to the mid-range Galaxy A52 via a new software update. The new Samsung Galaxy A52 update brings three new Portrait mode effects, including high-key mono, low-key mono, and backdrop effect. The update changelog also mentions the update improves the camera and overall performance of the phone, such as the stability of the touchscreen. According to a new report from TizenHelp, the update is currently live in Indonesia, but its availability in other regions isn’t clear at the moment. The new Samsung Galaxy A52 camera update arrives with firmware version A525FXXU1AUD2 and is around 415MB in size. It also brings the April 1st 2021 security patch.

To recall its features and specifications, Samsung Galaxy A52 flaunts a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 90Hz refresh rate, punch-hole display for the selfie snapper, and 800nits brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. The phone boots Android 11 OS with OneUI 3.1 custom skin out of the box. A 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support fuels the phone.

As for cameras, the Samsung Galaxy A52 has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 64MP primary sensor with AF OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. It is equipped with a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats, Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port.

As for the Samsung Galaxy A52 price in India, the phone starts at Rs 26,499 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Buyers will have to shell out Rs 27,999 for the model with 8GB of system memory and 256GB of internal storage.
