PUBG Mobile India release date

While Krafton has teased the PUBG Mobile India launch, it’s yet to confirm its release date. The PUBG Mobile India official website, as well as its social media accounts, still show a ‘Coming Soon’ tag. The game is required to get clearance from the Government of India, which doesn’t seem to be going well. For starters, the game has failed to receive the government’s approval, despite registering as an Indian subsidiary of PUBG Corporation and breaking all its ties from China.

Secondly, Krafton announced that the PUBG Mobile India will come with toned-down gore and violence, but Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, recently said that the game is violent, explicit, and addictive.

That said, a Hindi version of PUBG’s recently announced mobile title PUBG: New State was spotted on its website’s source code. This could mean that the game’s launch could still be on the cards.

Who made PUBG Mobile India?

PUBG was developed and published by PUBG Corporation, which is a subsidiary of Krafton Inc. While the company launched the game for PC, it was the Chinese company Tencent Games that brought PUBG to mobile phones. After the ban in India, Krafton removed Tencent and took over the charge of publishing PUBG Mobile in India. The company did try to find Indian investors to revoke the ban, before announcing the new PUBG Mobile India game in November specifically designed for the Indian market. The game is said to provide a secure and healthy gameplay environment, with screen-time measurement tool, green-hit instead of red, and fully-clothed avatars.
