Vivo S9 price, specifications, and availability details will be announced next month in China as the company has revealed the phone’s launch date. The Vivo S9 will be unveiled in the country on March 3rd. Famous singer Lisa, a member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink, will be the brand ambassador of the new Vivo mobile phone. The teaser video shared by the company comes with tag-lines like “Illuminating My Beauty” and “Very Night Soft Light Selfie”, which suggests that the upcoming Vivo S9 will focus on design and selfie camera. The phone is expected to feature dual selfie cameras, with a 44MP primary sensor, in a bathtub-like notch atop the display. The Vivo S9 is also rumoured to be the world’s first smartphone to rock the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset under the hood.

Vivo S9 specifications
Going into the specifications, Vivo S9 is likely to boot Android 11-based OriginOS out of the box. Thanks to MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC, the handset will be 5G capable. The SoC is said to be coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage; there could be other RAM and storage variants of the phone as well. The mobile phone is expected to sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and 90Hz refresh rate. The Vivo S9 is likely to house a 4,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
The rear cameras, stacked in a rectangular module, of the phone are rumoured to employ a 64MP primary sensor. That’s all we know so far!
