The Realme Race smartphone was confirmed to be in development earlier this year by the company, with Snapdragon 888 chipset in tow. Now, after spilling its specifications and other details, the phone has been listed on the Eurasian Economic Commission’s (EEC) website. However, it is just one of the four new Realme smartphones that have been spotted on the EEC database; the four model numbers that appeared on the EEC website are RMX2022, RMX3085, RMX3081, and RMX2156. The appearance of these devices on the EEC database also suggests an imminent launch.
New Realme Race smartphone series
Back in September 2020, the Realme VP Xu Qi Chase posted an image on Chinese social networking site Weibo teasing a new line of smartphones from the company. He stated that these new products would be based on the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset. It is likely that the smartphones spotted on the EEC database are all part of the new series, or variants of the Race flagship smartphone. It is also possible that these devices would be equipped with the flagship 5nm chipset. As mentioned above, Realme Race has been confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor.
The Realme Race is expected to look similar to the OPPO Ace 2, will feature 125W fast charging, a 64-megapixel quad rear camera setup, and other flagship features. Race is just a codename for this device, and it should be called something else commercially. We have no idea as to when Realme plans on launching these new devices, but recent leaks and listings suggest that we can expect the launch in a couple of weeks.
