Realme Narzo 30A India launch around the corner as it bags BIS certification

Highlights
  • Realme Narzo 30A has been certified by the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards)
  • It will very likely be a rebadged Realme C series device
  • Realme Narzo 20A India launch could be as early as February or March

The Realme Narzo 30A with model number RMX3171 has just been greenlit by two agencies: India’s BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) and Thailand’s NTBC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission). These certifications indicate that the smartphone is in the final stages of launch. A report from earlier told us that the Realme Narzo 30, Narzo 30A, and Narzo 30 Pro would be launched in India sometime in January 2021 as the successors to last year’s Narzo 20, 20A, and 20 Pro. Although the prospects of that seem grim at the moment, we can expect the Realme Narzo 30A India launch to happen sometime in February or March, at the latest.

Very little is known about the Realme Narzo 30A specifications at this point in time. If its predecessor is anything to go by, we can expect it to come with an HD+ screen, an entry-level MediaTek SoC, three (or four) rear cameras, and a ~5,000mAh battery. Given the history of Realme’s Narzo line of devices, the Realme Narzo 30A, in all likelihood, be a rebadged Realme C21 that is set to be launched in Indonesia soon.

In the meanwhile, we have the Realme X7 series to look forward to. The smartphones will be launched in India on February 4th and have exciting specifications such as 5G-ready MediaTek Dimensity chipsets, a 120Hz super AMOLED screen (on the Realme X7 Pro), four rear cameras, and an under-display fingerprint scanner, among other things. Furthermore, we can also expect the company to unveil other peripherals, such as the Realme Buds Q2 alongside the smartphones.
