POCO M2 is receiving MIUI 12 Global Stable update in India with MIUI 12.0.1.0.QJRINXM firmware version. The update weighs 504MB and is still based on Android 10 OS and not the latest Android 11. POCO M2 MIUI 12 update brings December Android Security patch and it can be installed manually from system settings by downloading the zip file as well. MIUI 12 includes a new Dark Mode 2.0, Floating Window, a new multitasking menu, improved animations, a new control centre, enhanced privacy protection and much more. Since the POCO M2 MIUI 12 update has just started rolling out, it should be a while before it reaches everyone.
MIUI 12 features
MIUI 12 brings new Super Visual Design that surfaces data such as available storage, battery capacity, and more in the form of new graphs and diagram form. The company says that it will be more eye-pleasing and easy to understand. There is dynamic Dark Mode 2.0 and Sunlight mode that brightens the display for better outdoor visibility of the content. The custom skin has improved Ultra battery saver mode, new Super Wallpapers which are a high-resolution 3D landscape of the Earth, Moon, and Mars. These change colour depending on the current theme and zoom in-and-out when you unlock the handset.
MIUI 12 brings new app opening/closing animations and navigations. The control centre has quick settings for shortcuts for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mobile data, and more grid pattern with rounded rectangular buttons. With regards to privacy, the MIUI 12 can monitor app permissions and other sensitive information. The OS will push an alert if there’s any violation. It adds new gesture navigation with a bar at the bottom.
