vivo Y20, the mid-range budget smartphone that made its debut in India in August, has now entered Nepal’s smartphone market exclusively via Daraz. Notably, vivo introduced two variants under its Y-series- vivo Y20, vivo Y20i. The company has brought a regular variant in Nepal.
The USP of the new vivo Y20 smartphone is its triple camera setup (13MP+2MP+2MP) and a massive 5000mAh battery. To accompany the powerhouse, it includes 18W fast charging support. Another highlight of the phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that is flanked on the right side.

The all-new vivo Y20 features a polished 2.5D plastic body with a plastic frame. On the rear side, the phone looks identical to Asus Zenfone 5Z, although the camera layout is a bit different.
Upfront, you will see a thin-bezel dew drop-notch style display. The tall elongated body accommodates a 6.51-inch Halo FullView display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has an Eye Protection mode that reduces eye strain from blue light emission. The power button that wakes up & unlocks the device as a fingerprint reader is placed on the right side with the volume rockers sitting above it.
As mentioned, vivo launched two variants of the Y20 series. Although there isn’t much difference between the two handsets in terms of internal hardware, the vivo Y20i offers a more vibrant colored rear panel.
That said, Qualcomm’s entry-level Snapdragon 460 processor powers the phone. It comes in a single 4GB RAM+64GB native storage variant and has a dedicated microSD slot that supports up to 256GB storage. Vivo Y20 runs Android 10-based FunTouch OS 10.5.
For photography, you get a triple camera setup at the back housing a 13MP primary shooter with f/2.2 aperture and two 2MP sensors with f/2.4 aperture. Upfront, there is an 8MP camera with f/1.8 aperture for selfies. The camera software offers portrait, slo-mo, panorama, live photo, and professional mode.
vivo Y20 comes with a super capacity 5000mAh battery with AI power-saving technology. The company claims that a single full charge can provide up to 16 hours of online HD movie streaming or 11 hours of resource-intensive gaming action. Along with a 10W charger, the Y20 also supports reverse charging via OTG cable covering your other devices.
Besides a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, the phone includes Face wake Technology for quick unlock. The phone carries dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, USB OTG, FM Radio, and micro-USB port for charging in terms of connectivity.
Sensors onboard include- accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and side-mounted fingerprint reader. The vivo Y20 weighs 192.3 grams and has a dimension of 164.4 x 76.3 x 8.4 mm.
