Nokia’s parent company HMD Global launched two new entry-level Android smartphones at its global event- Nokia 3.4 and Nokia 2.4. Alongside these smartphones debut, the company also announced its first 5G smartphone’s release date- Nokia 8.3 5G. The 5G smartphone that was introduced in March will be available for purchase in the US starting September 23 for $700 for the 8GB RAM/128GB variant.
Speaking of the new Nokia handsets, the Nokia 3.4 and Nokia 2.4 features entry-level mobile platforms, LCD panels, and Android 10 OS out of the box. Let’s check out the aspects of the Nokia smartphones-

Nokia 3.4 Specifications and Features
The new Nokia 3.4 features a modern design with a punch-hole, slim-bezel display. The phone has curved edges with tapered back. Nokia cites that the phone has a 3D Nano-textured rear panel and inner metal chassis.
At the back, you will find a dial-shaped camera module and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner sitting below it. The phone has a dedicated Google Assistant button placed on the left side, while the right side accommodates the power button and volume keys.
For binging content, the Nokia 3.4 offers a 6.39-inch HD+ display. The display has a peak brightness of 400 nits and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
Under the hood sits an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset paired with 3GB RAM/32GB or 4GB RAM/64GB configuration. HMD claims that the CPU on the Nokia 3.4 is 70 percent faster than Nokia 3.2’s quad-core processor.
As for software, the smartphone runs stock Android 10 OS. As always, the device comes with Nokia’s three years of security and two years of software upgrades. Nokia has embedded the ‘Family Link’ app that will help parents keep a tab on their kids’ viewing activities and limit screen time.
On the optics segment, the Nokia 3.4’s dial-shaped camera module offers a triple camera setup. The trio comprises a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Upfront, there is an 8MP camera that comes with AI support. Besides a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, the phone gets a face unlock feature under its biometrics.
The phone equips a 4000mAh battery and bundles a 5W charger to charge up the battery. Also, the phone comes with 10W charging support as well.
Nokia 3.4 includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Galileo, USB-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, Qualcomm aptX audio support under its connectivity package.
The sensors onboard offer Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer (G-sensor), Gyroscope, Biometric face unlock, Rear fingerprint sensor, and Hearing Aid Compatibility (Latin America and USA only).

Nokia 3.4 Price and Availability
The new Nokia 3.4 will be available for purchase in select countries starting early October. The device has been priced at EUR 159 (around Rs 13,700) for the base model with 3GB RAM/32GB storage.

Nokia 2.4 Specifications and Features
As mentioned, HMD Global has launched a predecessor of the entry-level Nokia 2.3 handset, the new Nokia 2.4. The device sports a slightly widescreen and a big battery pack. The phone features a basic design, with a dew-drop style display (that became a trend in 2018), vertically stacked dual cameras, and a curved-edge body. Similar to the Nokia 3.4, it gets a 3D Nano-textured (Nordic) rear panel and diecast metal chassis.
The Nokia 2.4 is an Android One smartphone, which means you will get vanilla Android experience along with monthly security and software updates. The phone runs on Android 10 OS, and it is upgradable to Android 11. HMD promises two years of software upgrades and three years security patch.
Speaking of the front panel, the Nokia 2.4 features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels. The display has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a pixel density of 270 ppi.
Unlike the Nokia 3.4, the Nokia 2.4 gets a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, which is fabricated on a 12nm process. A PowerVR GE8320 GPU accompanies the octa-core processor for rendering graphics. It comes in two RAM/storage configurations- 2GB RAM+32GB and 3GB RAM+64GB storage. There’s a dedicated microSD slot as well that has expandable support of up to 512GB.
The dual-camera setup offers a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor in terms of optics. For selfies and video calls, it has a 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture. The camera software includes Night mode and Portrait mode.
The phone has a battery pack of up to 4500mAh, but instead of a USB-C port, the Nokia 2.4 gets an ancient micro-USB port for charging.
