Samsung today announced the launch of the Curd Maestro Refrigerator, the world’s first refrigerator that will preserve food and prepare curd (Dahi) in it. For generations, curd has been an essential condiment paired with varied Nepali recipes across geographies. Curd Maestro, results from the company’s deep understanding of Nepali consumers’ needs over the years and addresses the pain points of daily curd making.
Curd Maestro refrigerator makes it easy by enabling curd preparation in five to six hours — five hours for soft curd, six hours for thick curd. One needs to take out the container from the Curd Maestro, add curd starter/culture in lukewarm milk and mix it well. Now put the container back in the Curd Maestro refrigerator. And select the curd option as per their preference.
Curd Maestro refrigerator does the fermentation as well as provides an ideal temperature for curd making. It makes curd with the same consistency each time and eliminates all the hassle of curd making in different weather conditions.

How To Make Curd in 3 Easy Steps with the Curd Maestro Refrigerator
Step 1: Mix Starter/Culture
Take out the container from the Curd Maestro, add curd starter/culture in lukewarm milk and mix it well. Now put the container back in the Curd Maestro refrigerator.
Step 2: Fermentation
Press the ‘Curd’ button on the display to select ‘Soft‘ curd or ‘Thick’ curd option as per your preference. Rest the mixture for approx. 6.5 hours (for soft) and approx. 7.5 hours (for thick) for fermentation.
Step 3: Serve/Store
The ‘Serve’ icon lights up as an indication that curd is ready to serve. Curd can also be stored for 3 days in the Samsung Curd Maestro refrigerator.

Samsung Curd Maestro refrigerators are available all over Nepal from authorized distributors for Samsung consumer electronics, HIM Electronics, and Triveni Byaapar Pvt. Ltd. from August onwards. Curd Maestro Refrigerator models will be priced between NPR 63,990 to NPR 78,990 in Nepal.
