Tech giant Apple is planning to unveil the iPhone 15 series, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is tipped to come as iPhone 15 Ultra, in the second half of 2023. Ahead of that, tipster Ice Universe has come up with a piece of new information regarding the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max / Ultra.
According to the tipster, the iPhone 15 Pro Max / Ultra will break the record of having the thinnest-ever bezels in a smartphone, beating the Xiaomi 13 and the Samsung Galaxy S23.
iPhone 15 Pro Max / iPhone 15 Ultra to feature thinnest bezels
The tipster stated in a tweet that the iPhone 15 Pro Max / Ultra would “break the record” of 1.81mm-thin bezels, which is currently held by the Xiaomi 13. IceUniverse claims that Apple’s upcoming model will come with a bezel width of only 1.55mm. To facilitate comparison, the tipster provided the dimensions of the bezels found on the iPhone 14 Pro (2.17 mm) and the Samsung Galaxy Ultra S23 (1.95mm).
According to speculations, all four iPhone 15 models will have slightly curved bezels around the edges, similar to the iPhone 11 series. However, the width of the bezels on the normal iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will not differ from those on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. The iPhone 15 lineup is expected to have the same display sizes as the previous year’s models.
iPhone 15 Pro Max / iPhone 15 Ultra price, specifications (expected)
It is said that Apple is considering increasing the iPhone 15 Pro Max / Ultra price to $1,199, up from $1,099 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Dynamic Island introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro models may be available on all iPhone 15 models. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro Max / Ultra will include an A17 chipset, more RAM, solid-state buttons, and a lot more.
According to a recent report, Apple is working on 8K video recording for the iPhone 15 Pro Max / Ultra or the iPhone 15 Pro. As per the report, the tech giant may be working on extending the battery life of the iPhone Ultra by up to 3-4 hours.
