Onto the third week of February 2023, and smartphone launches are still on the roll. Some key launches come from the likes of iQOO, Vivo and OPPO and even smaller smartphone makers like Tecno. This week we have witnessed the launch of the performance-oriented iQOO Neo 7 and the futuristic OPPO Find N2 Flip. We wrap up all the smartphone launches this week. Let’s take a closer look.
Phones launched this week
1. iQOO Neo 7
The iQOO Neo 7, a performance-oriented mid-range smartphone from iQOO has been launched in India and has already gone on sale via Amazon and iQOO. The iQOO Neo 7 packs in a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate with support for HDR10+, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1.07 billion colours, DCI-P3 colour gamut and up to 1500nits brightness. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 coupled with ARM Mali-G610 GPU and is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device runs on Android 13-based OriginOS custom skin out of the box.
The iQOO Neo 7 also hosts a triple camera setup that consists of a 64MP main camera with OIS, LED flash, a 2MP (f/2.2) depth camera, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera. It gets a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. Other than that, the iQOO Neo 7 gets features such as 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR sensor, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C audio. The iQOO 7 sips juice from a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
Price: iQOO Neo 7 price in India is Rs 29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 33,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. Added benefits in the form of bank discounts, EMI deals, and exchange bonuses can also be had at the moment.
2. OPPO Find N2 Flip
The OPPO Find N2 Flip packs in a 6.8-inch FHD+ foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Find N2 Flip’s display features don’t stop here and there is a smaller secondary display that is 3.26-inch big and gets AMOLED display technology and is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Powering the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus paired with Mali-G710 MC10 GPU and gets up to 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage. The device runs on Android 13-based ColorOS custom skin and gets support for 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The camera department is taken care of by a 50MP dual camera setup. Upfront there is a 32MP shooter for selfies and video chats. The OPPO Find N2 Flip relies on a 4,300mAh battery with 44W fast wired charging support for juice.
Price: The OPPO Find N2 Flip’s India pricing has not yet been announced. However, European pricing can be used as an indicator. The OPPO Find N2 Flip has been launched at £849 (around Rs 84,350) for the single 8GB + 256GB version. This makes it cheaper than its rival Samsung.
3. Nokia X30 5G
Nokia has launched its premium mid-range device, the Nokia X30 5G, in India. This new Nokia runs the tried and tested Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC coupled with Adreno 619L GPU paired to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The handset boots Android 12 OS not the latest Android 13 skin. The device features a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz high refresh rate.
At the back, the Nokia X30 5G gets a dual camera system which comprises of a 50MP (f/1.8) primary camera sensor with OIS, a 13MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide-angle lens and an LED flash. On the front, there is a 16MP snapper for taking selfies and video chats. The Nokia X30 5G comes with connectivity options that include 5G, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The device also gets an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and an IP67 rating for water resistance. The Nokia X30 5G draws energy from a 4.200mAh battery with 33W support for fast charging.

4. Vivo Y56 5G
The Vivo Y56 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The storage is expandable via a microSD card. The device also gets up to 8GB of extendable RAM for better multitasking. The Y56 5G runs on Android 13-based Funtouch OS custom skin out of the box.
The Vivo Y56 5G uses a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary lens for its optics. The front camera duties are handled by a 16MP shooter. The Vivo Y56 5G features a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and packs in features like a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging.

5. Vivo Y100
Vivo’s second midrange smartphone entrant this week is the Vivo Y100 which has been launched in India. The device gets a 6.38-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+ and 1300nits peak brightness. The Vivo Y100 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset coupled with a Mali G68 GPU and paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device allows for an extra 8GB of RAM via its virtual RAM support. It comes pre-loaded with Android 13-based FunTouchOS 13 out of the box.
The Vivo Y100 gets a triple camera system which hosts a 64MP main camera with OIS and two 2MP sensors. The front camera is a 16MP front shooter. The Vivo Y100 houses a 4,500mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge fast charging support via a Type-C charging port.
Price: The Vivo Y100 is available in a single 8GB+128GB storage variant for a price of Rs 24,999. The smartphone can be purchased for can be purchased via the company’s official website and e-commerce platforms, Flipkart and Amazon.
6. Tecno POP 7 Pro
The Tecno POP 7 Pro gets a 6.56-inch HD+ display with support for 480 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Helio A22 processor with up to 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. The storage is expandable via a microSD card. The device runs on Android 12 Go Edition out of the box with the company’s proprietary HiOS 11.0 skin baked atop. At the back, the POP 7 Pro gets a 12MP camera with an LED flash while the front camera duties are taken care of by a 5MP selfie snapper. The Tecno POP 7 Pro gets a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging over a USB Type-C charging port. It also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and support for FM Radio.
Price: The 2GB + 64GB variant commands a price tag of Rs 6,799 while the higher spec model with 3GB RAM commands a price tag of Rs 7,299.
