Phones launched this week: iQOO 11, Realme 10 4G, and more

Although the second week of January didn’t witness many smartphone launches, the brands that did come up with a device brought something fresh and unique to the table, such as a limited edition phone or one of the fastest smartphones in the world. Apart from that, these devices also happen to kick off the launches for their respective brands for the new year. That said, here’s a quick rundown of every smartphone launched this week:

iQOO 11 5G

The iQOO 11 5G is India’s first smartphone to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Launched on 10th January, the device sports a large 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED LTPO 4.0 display with 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution, HDR10+, and 1-144Hz variable refresh rate. Storage configurations include 8GB RAM with 256GB ROM and 16GB RAM with 256GB variants. Moving to optics, the iQOO 11 rocks a triple rear camera setup, with a 50MP OIS-enabled primary Samsung HN5 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 13MP 2x telephoto camera. Upfront, there is a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls. Providing power to the handset is a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support that can juice up the battery from 0 to 50 percent in mere eight minutes. Lastly, the phone boots on Android 13 with Funtouch OS 13 custom skin on top.

Price – Rs 59,999 for 8GB + 256GB and Rs 64,999 for 16GB + 256GB

Realme 10 4G

Realme 10

The Realme 10 was launched earlier this week as the successor to last year’s Realme 9 4G. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. Upfront, there is a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate along with a 16MP selfie sensor situated within the punch-hole cutout. Moving to the rear, the Realme 10 4G carries a 50MP primary sensor alongside a 2MP B&W portrait camera. The handset runs on Android 12-based Realme UI 3 custom skin and packs in a 5000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support.

Price – Rs 13,999 for 4GB + 64GB and Rs 16,999 for 8GB +128GB

Motorola Edge 30 Fusion Viva Magenta

Another smartphone that was launched this week was the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion Viva Magenta special edition. In collaboration with Pantone, a color expertise company, Motorola has introduced this new colour variant by giving the Edge 30 Fusion a fresh magenta paint job while replacing the back glass panel with a soft vegan leather finish.

Apart from the cosmetic changes, the device’s specifications remain unchanged which include a 6.55-inch FHD+ curved OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate support, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, a triple rear camera setup consisting of 50MP primary shooter, 13MP ultra-wide angle lens, and 2MP depth sensor along with a 32MP selfie snapper, and a 5000mAh battery with 68W fast charging. The phone runs on Android 12 and is expected to receive the Android 13 update soon.
