Motorola is slowly, but surely becoming a household name yet again. Its recipe of near stock-Android experience and specs that matched the price tag seems to be doing wonders for the company whose smartphone’s operation was taken over by Lenovo back in 2014. Motorola has managed to pull off some great value for money offerings in the last couple of years. Be it the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion (review) or the Moto G62 (review), the smartphones made a good impact on the overly crowded industry in India. It looks like Motorola is doubling down on its efforts for the next year. Here is a list of smartphones that are expected to launch in 2023 in India.

1. Moto G53 5G
The Moto G53, which made its China debut in December 2022, could soon make its way to India in the next few months. The handset, just like previous Moto G series phones, will be a midrange offering that is tipped to pack in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage for the global market. Besides that, the rest of the specifications may not see any changes from the Chinese counterpart, which includes a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate support, a 50MP dual rear camera, an 8MP front shooter, and a 5000mAh battery along with Android 13 out of the box.

2. Moto Edge 40 Pro
Motorola recently unveiled the Moto X40 in China, and if the previous track record of the X series is anything to go by, it could come to the global and Indian market as the Moto Edge 40 Pro while carrying the same design and specifications. Speaking of specifications, the handset rocks the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM, and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. A huge 6.7-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate support is on the front. Coming to the optics, the device has a 50MP main shooter, a 50MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 12 telephoto lens. Selfie and video calling needs are taken care of by the 60MP front camera housed within the centered punch hole of the display. The Moto X40 packs a 4600mAh battery unit with 125W fast wired and 15W wireless charging support.

3. Moto G13
There are reports that Moto could kick off 2023 by launching a budget smartphone under the G series, called Moto G13. With the limited information available at this point in time, the handset is said to be a 4G device and may feature an AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It could either be equipped with MediaTek Helio G99 or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset. Apart from that, a 5000mAh battery in might make the cut on the Moto G13 with at least 33W fast charging support.

4. Moto G23
Another Motorola phone that could debut in 2023 is the Moto G23. The smartphone, which is believed to be a budget offering has recently surfaced on the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) website bearing the model number XT2333-3. While there is no word on the actual specifications, the handset is believed to debut with a 5,000mAh battery, 33W fast charging solution, and dual SIM support. Other than that, an allegedly leaked image of the handset suggests that it will feature dual rear cameras and a centre-aligned punch-hole selfie camera.

5. Moto G73
Unlike its predecessor Moto G72, the Moto G73 is said to be a 5G-compatible smartphone. Per a report, the handset will rock the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. Upfront, it is tipped to feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie 16MP snapper. At the rear, the G73 could come with a 50MP primary camera sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Lastly, the smartphone could pack in a 5000mAh battery unit with 30W TurboCharging support.
