Redmi recently confirmed the arrival of its Redmi Note 12 Pro series of smartphones in India. The brand revealed that the Redmi Note 12 Pro and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will launch in the country on January 5th, 2023, and will be sold via Flipkart. However, there had so far been no mention of the vanilla Redmi Note 12 5G, up until now. Redmi has finally confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 5G will also launch in India on the same date, but will be sold via Amazon India in the country.

Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 5G will also launch in India. The landing page for the device has already been made live on Amazon India, which reveals its design, key specifications, and, of course, its launch date. The device will feature a 120Hz AMOLED panel, a 5G Snapdragon processor, 33W fast charging support, and will be the slimmest Note ever.

The Redmi Note 12 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,200 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, the device comes powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor, which is paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS2.2 storage. In terms of cameras, the Redmi Note 12 5G has a 48MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front camera.
Coming to the battery of the device, the Redmi Note 12 5G sports a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Speaking of the OS, the device boots Android 12-based MIUI 13 skin out of the box.
