Motorola is reportedly in the works to launch a new mid-range Moto G-series smartphone, called the Motorola Moto G13. While the brand is yet to reveal the device, it has been spotted on a couple of certification websites, including the Indian BIS certification website, which hint that the launch of the device is imminent. The certification listings confirm that the Motorola Moto G13 will be a 4G device. Let’s take a look.
Motorola Moto G13 gets BIS certification
Spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), the Motorola Moto G13 (with the model number Motorola XT2231-3) has recently received the Thai NBTC certification and the Indian BIS certification. The NBTC certification confirms the moniker of the device, while the BIS listing suggests that Motorola might soon launch the Motorola Moto G13 in India. The Motorola Moto G13 will be a 4G handset, so we can expect the device to be priced less than Rs 15,000 in India, unless Motorola pulls off something extra-ordinary with the specifications and features of the device, the odds of which, are a bit unlikely.
Motorola Moto G13 specifications (expected)
Given that the Motorola Moto G13 will be a 4G device, we can expect the device to feature at least a 90Hz AMOLED display to compensate for the lack of 5G. Plus, the device could be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, or it could be equipped with the Snapdragon 732G chipset, which would make complete sense, given that Redmi is also reportedly in the works to launch its Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G with the same processor.
Coming to the battery of the device, we can expect the Motorola Moto G13 to feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for (at least) 33W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port. Lastly, the device will most likely boot Android 13 out of the box.
Motorola Moto G13 launch timeline (expected)
We can expect Motorola to take the wraps off the Motorola Moto G13 sometime in Q1, 2023. In all likelihood, the device will launch in India in January 2023.
