Xiaomi recently launched its Redmi Note 12 series in China, which includes four smartphones: Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+, and Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition. These phones will come to Indian shores shortly and will likely carry a different name. A new tip from MIUI tester Kacper Skzypek suggests that the top-of-the-line Redmi Note 12 Pro+ model will launch in India as Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge.
Xiaomi’s HyperCharge phones focus on offering super fast charging speed. For instance, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge (review) launched with support for 120W fast charging. Now, if its predecessor is indeed a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Pro+, it’ll likely ship with 120W fast charging support. It’s still unclear whether the Redmi Note 12 Pro will launch as the Xiaomi 12i. However, considering that the Xiaomi 11i series included two devices, the Xiaomi 12i series could include a Xiaomi 12i and a Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge.
Readers must note that Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed any details about the India launch of the Xiaomi 12i series. Word on the internet is the 12i family phones could launch in India in early 2023. Here’s what you can expect from the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge in terms of specifications.
Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge: expected specifications
If the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge is a revamped Redmi Note 12 Pro+, we could expect it to pack a similar configuration. It’ll flaunt a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 120Hz OLED panel. Powering the 12i HyperCharge will be a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
