Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up for the launch of its flagship Xiaomi 13 series of smartphones. The Xiaomi 13 lineup, however, doesn’t seem to be the only noteworthy series that will see the light of the day later this year. Rumours are rife that the company may introduce the Redmi K60 series as well in December. Ahead of that, key specs of the vanilla Redmi K60 smartphone have popped up on the internet. As per the leak, the handset might come with the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC ticking at its core. Here’s everything we know so far:
Redmi K60 specifications (leaked)
According to noted tipster Digital Chat Station, the Redmi K60 will feature the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor. The processor is likely to be announced on November 8th, so we can expect Redmi to start teasing the Redmi K60 series post that.
Moving on, the Redmi K60 is said to feature a 48MP main camera with support for OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). Additionally, we can expect a couple more cameras to tag along. At the front, the device will likely make use of a 16MP selfie shooter.
The Redmi K60 is tipped to sport a 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED panel. The handset is likely to be driven by a 5,500mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging and 30W wireless fast charging. Lastly, the device is tipped to boot Android 13 OS out of the box, with the brand’s in-house MIUI skin on top. However, it remains to be seen whether the Redmi K60 will come with MIUI 13 or MIUI 14.
Redmi K60 launch (expected)
Per reports, the Redmi K60 could launch in China as early as next year. The handset will be the successor of the Redmi K50 series, which made its debut earlier this year. There is no word on the Redmi K60 India launch yet.
