4 reasons you should buy Google Pixel 6a at Rs 27,699 during upcoming Flipkart sale

Highlights
  • Google Pixel 6a will be available for as low as Rs 27,699 during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale.
  • The handset was launched with a price tag of Rs 43,999.
  • The Pixel 6a ships with a Tensor chipset, 60Hz AMOLED display, and Android 13 OS.

Google skipped the launch of the Pixel 6 series in India last year and this disappointed fans in the country. However, months later, the Mountain View giant introduced the Pixel 6a with the same design and chipset as the standard Pixel 6. However, the handset was priced at Rs 43,999, which is a bit steep considering what it offers. While there were some who purchased the Pixel 6a at that price, there is good news for Pixel fans who are yet to buy the device.

The Google Pixel 6a’s price in India will see a jaw-dropping discount on Flipkart during the upcoming Big Billion Days sale. The handset will be available at an attractive price of Rs 27,699, down from Rs 43,999 (here’s a breakdown). This is probably one of the best deals during the upcoming sale. Here are the top four reasons to buy it at Rs 27,699.

Four reasons you should buy Pixel 6a during the Flipkart sale

1. Stylish design

The Pixel 6 series underwent a major design makeover last year, ditching the not-so-attractive look of its predecessors. With the Pixel 6a, we get iPhone-like symmetrical bezels on the front, which offers a great viewing experience. The back panel is even more attractive (can be subjective) with a horizontal strap to house dual camera sensors. The back features a dual-tone design, which is quite unique. However, do note the glossy finish attracts fingerprint marks quite easily. The Pixel 6a comes with IP67 certification, which is a rare offering in the segment.

There is a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. The volume rocker and power button are on the right side. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The phone has dual camera sensors on the back and an LED flash.

2. Capable chipset

Like the Pixel 6 series, the Pixel 6a is also powered by the Tensor chipset, which is paired with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. The chipset can handle day-to-day tasks without any issue and can handle pretty much any task like scrolling through social media, clicking pics, recording videos, editing pictures, and more. It can be considered as one of the best performers in the segment is will be offered after the price discount.

3. Ad-free software

Since it is coming from the house of Google, the Pixel 6a ships with the latest Android 13 OS. More than running the latest software version, it offers an ad-free experience, which is also a rarity in the segment. The UI is clean with no pesky ads and bloatware. Besides the ads in the UI, Pixel phones are always the first to get software updates and this is a big bonus and offers an edge over the competitors in the segment.

4. Good cameras

The Google Pixel 6a ships with dual cameras on the back, with 12.2MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Like with most Google phones, the Pixel 6a also offers good camera performance. Though the sensor is getting aged now, the images clicked have good details in them, thanks to Google’s excellent computational photography. It can click excellent portraits of human subjects and the HDR images will be eye-pleasing, especially on social media.

The night mode photography also offers impressive results, which are far better compared to the competition in the segment. However, as said, the 12.2MP main sensor is a bit aged for today’s day and time, hence some might find the optics to be not as good as the Pixel 6 series lineup.
