Xiaomi has finally confirmed the launch date of its Xiaomi 12S lineup of devices. The Xiaomi 12S series, which has been a part of leaks and rumours for the past couple of months, will consist of the Xiaomi 12S, the Xiaomi 12S Pro, and the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The brand, via a promotional poster, has even teased the rear design of all three smartphones in the Xiaomi 12S. Let’s take a look.

Xiaomi 12S series launch date confirmed, design teased

As seen in the promotional poster above, the Xiaomi 12S will launch in China on July 4th, 2022. The brand has not said anything about the global launch of the series, so we might have to wait for some more time to know about the same. As for the China launch, we will get to see the brand take the wraps off three devices on the said date – the Xiaomi 12S, the Xiaomi 12S Pro, and the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

The Xiaomi 12S is supposedly going to be a compact-sized flagship, while the top-of-the-line Xiaomi 12S Ultra is said to be the most specifications-rich Xiaomi smartphone till date. All three smartphones are tipped to come equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Xiaomi’s Leica partnership has also been confirmed now, and we hope to see an improved photography and videography experience this time around.

Xiaomi 12S specifications (expected)

Coming to the specifications of the device, the Xiaomi 12S is expected to feature a 6.81-inch FHD+ 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED panel. Powering the Xiaomi 12S will most likely be a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. Coming to the cameras of the device, the Xiaomi 12S is said to sport a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP tertiary camera. Lastly, the device is said to come with a 4,500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port.
