The POCO X4 GT, an upcoming smartphone from the Xiaomi sub-brand, is set to launch later this month. The device is expected to launch globally on the same day as the flagship grade POCO F4 5G. The new smartphones from the company’s stable are expected to overhaul features and bring a new design language to the brand’s phones, and could add to the variety of smartphones that the brand offers. On this note, here’s taking a look at what the POCO X4 GT could bring to the table, and how it may line up alongside competition.
POCO X4 GT launch date
POCO X4 GT launch has been confirmed for June 23, slated to take place alongside the POCO F4 5G. While the POCO F4 has been teased by the company’s India handle, no details have been shared by the latter on the POCO X4 GT’s India launch. The smartphone is seemingly a slightly tweaked version of the Redmi Note 11T Pro.
POCO X4 GT price (expected)
The smartphone is based on the same chipset that powers the OnePlus 10R and the Realme GT Neo 3 in India, which are priced at Rs 38,999 and Rs 35,999 respectively. While this offers an indication in terms of what the maximum price of the phone would be, the leaked international prices also suggest similar pricing – as per rumours, the POCO X4 GT would cost around EUR 400 (approx. Rs 33,000). However, its eventual India pricing could be different – as and when POCO decides to launch the phone here.
Design
The POCO X4 GT appears to not follow the trend of straight, sharp edges that the F4 5G is tipped to come with. Instead, it is expected to get rounded edges, and smooth creases on all sides. As expected, it appears to get slim bezels on all sides, but a thicker chin is in line with how mid-range smartphones look. The rear camera module has rounded rectangular edges, and there are at least two colour variants of the phone – blue and black.
Specs
In terms of its key specifications, the POCO X4 GT is tipped to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, a premium tier chipset. The device is also expected to come with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. In terms of its battery and charging setup, the X4 GT could come with a 5,080mAh battery and 67W fast charging.
Other key expected specifications include a 20MP front camera, and a triple rear camera that includes a 64MP main camera and an 8MP second camera, that is likely set to be an ultra-wide unit. The third camera is tipped to be a 2MP macro unit. The display is said to be a 6.6-inch full HD+ unit, with 120Hz refresh rate – thereby making it a direct rival to the other phones powered by the same chipset, the OnePlus 10R and the Realme GT Neo 3.
