Mojang unveiled Minecraft Legends, a new Minecraft spinoff, at the recent Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase event. With Minecraft Legends, the studio is going in a different direction compared to the previous spinoff, Minecraft Dungeons. Minecraft Legends is an action-packed strategy game set in a world similar to Minecraft. You will come across various Minecraft mobs as you try to defend your settlements from piglins. Minecraft Legends release date
Although the exact release date isn’t announced yet, Minecraft Legends is set to launch sometime in 2023. Since the game was announced during Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, it seems to be on track to release next year as the event featured games that are scheduled to launch by 2023. If all goes well, Minecraft Legends could be released in the first half of 2023.
Minecraft Legends platforms, price
Minecraft Legends will launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Microsoft hasn’t revealed the price of Minecraft Legends yet. Players who have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass for Console, or Game Pass for PC subscription will get access to Minecraft Legends on day one at no additional cost. Xbox Game Pass subscription starts at Rs 349 in India.

Minecraft Legends is a new action strategy spinoff of Minecraft. Mojang says, “Lead your allies in heroic battles to defend the Overworld from the destructive piglins.” The developer says Minecraft Legends’ environment is “full of diverse life, lush biomes, and rich resources. But this paradise is on the brink of destruction.” In this upcoming title, the piglins are trying to infiltrate and corrupt the Overworld. You have to stop the piglins before the Nether corruption destroys the Overworld. Minecraft Legends will also have co-op and competitive multiplayer. Minecraft Legends developer
Minecraft Legends isn’t being developed by Mojang. The game is in development at Blackbird Interactive, the Vancouver-based studio behind Hardspace: Shipbreaker. Blackbird Interactive has a dedicated team working on Minecraft Legends. Mojang says, “BBI has a wealth of game design experience, especially in the strategy genre, and a dedicated development team working on Minecraft Legends. Combining their strengths with ours is what resulted in the game´s unique personality. We’re thrilled by our collaboration with the talented teams at BBI and we can’t wait for you to experience the fun of a Minecraft strategy game.”
