Samsung Galaxy A53 5G specifications appear on Geekbench: 6GB RAM, Android 12, and more

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G launch date announcement could be close as the phone has now appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site with key specifications. Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, the first 5G upper mid-range phone in the A-series, with the hugely popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G chipset. We know the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G launch is in the works as we saw renders of the phone last month and we even reported that the phone is in production in India. Now, the Samsung Galaxy A53 specifications have surfaced on the Geekbench website, which suggests its arrival is imminent.

The upcoming smartphone with codename SM-A536U has scored 686 points in the single-core tests and 1874 points in multi-core tests, MySmartPrice has spotted. Further, the listing reveals, that the smartphone will run on Android 12, with OneUI 4.0 skin expected to be on top of it. The benchmarking website also reveals that the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G comes with 6GB of RAM. There is also expected to be an 8GB RAM variant on offer.

As per the Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G will house an octa-core chipset, with codename s5e8825. Looking at its clock speed and cores information, we speculate this could be the MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset or Samsung’s Exynos 1200 chipset. The chipset offers a peak clock speed of 2.4GHz. The Geekbench listing also reveals the presence of a Mali G68 GPU.

The renders revealed that the smartphone will be launched in a White colour option, with more colour options expected to be available at launch. The smartphone could be announced early next year, with a launch timeline of Q1 2022. That’s pretty much everything we so far know about the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G at the moment. but we hope to come across more details, as and when it is officially launched.
