Jio’s cheapest Rs 75 recharge plan will continue, but with this change

Highlights
  • Jio recently increased the prices of its prepaid plans in India.
  • The company has increased the tariff by around 20 percent in the country.
  • The cheapest recharge plan of Rs 75, however, is unchanged (well, not entirely).

Not too long ago, almost all the leading telcos (Airtel, Jio, VI) announced a hike in their tariff plans in the country. Jio, being one of them, has also increased the prices of its prepaid recharge plans by almost 20 percent in India. Amongst all the other plans, the cheapest recharge plan by the company for its prepaid users, which earlier used to cost Rs 75, had been increased to Rs 91 per month and was supposedly going to be implemented wef December 1st (today). That, however, has not happened and, as it turns out, the telecom giant has retained its Rs 75 plan in India, albeit with some changes. Take a look at the Rs 75 prepaid recharge plan by Jio and find out what has changed.

Jio Rs 75 prepaid recharge plan stays (with some changes)

Jio Rs 75 prepaid recharge plan

Before the tariff hike, the Rs 75 prepaid recharge plan by Jio used to come with 3GB of monthly data and 28 days validity. 100MB of data used to be provided to the customer per day and 200MB of additional data benefit used to be provided as well (2800MB + 200MB). On top of these data benefits, consumers used to avail of unlimited calling, 50 messages, and access to Jio apps.

With the update plan, however, users will still have to pay Rs 75, but the validity has now been reduced to 23 days. Users will receive 100MB of data per day, which means they’d get to enjoy 2300MB data. Alongside that, the telco will also provide the users with 200MB of additional data. Plus, 50 messages, unlimited free calling, and Jio apps stay put too. So, what are you missing out on? Well, with the new price slab into the picture, you are getting 500MB less data and 5 less days with the new pack. The remaining perks, which you used to enjoy with this plan are still going to be there.
