Redmi Smart Band Pro and Redmi Watch 2 Lite were officially unveiled globally last month at a launch event in China. The Redmi Smart Band Pro should go on sale in Europe in the coming weeks and will retail for €59 (roughly Rs 5,000). Now we have learned from well-known tipster Mukul Sharma that the brand could soon launch the Redmi Smart Band Pro in India. While there is no official date yet, there is a possibility that the band could be launched alongside Redmi Note 11T 5G on November 30th. The Redmi Smart Band Pro is the successor to the original Redmi Smart Band from last year. It will be a direct competitor to the Huawei Watch Fit and Samsung Galaxy Fit fitness trackers. Let us take a look at more of its details below.
Redmi Smart Band Pro specifications
On the specifications front, the Redmi Smart Band Pro features a 1.47-inch (194×368 pixels) AMOLED touch display with 282-pixel density, 100 percent NTSC colour gamut coverage, 8-bit colour depth, and up to 450 nits of peak brightness. The smart band is compatible with all handsets running Android 6.0 or iOS 10.0 and later using the Xiaomi Wear/Xiaomi Wear Lite apps.
It has a 200mAh battery that claims to offer up to 14 days of typical usage and 20 days of usage in power-saving mode. Redmi Smart Band Pro also has a six-axis sensor, PPG heart rate sensor, and light sensor. It is 5ATM certified for dust and water resistance, supports Bluetooth v5, and is powered by the Apollo 3.5 processor.
The band comes with heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring, and sleep quality tracking. The workout modes include outdoor running, treadmill, outdoor walking, outdoor cycling, HIIT, jumping rope, rowing machine, elliptical machine, and more. Redmi Smart Band Pro automatically detects three fitness modes — treadmill, outdoor running, and outdoor walking. Other features include deep breathing exercises, stress level monitoring, menstrual tracking, and more. The Redmi Smart Band Pro also supports music control, weather forecast, notification alerts, DND, incoming call alerts, timer, alarm, and stopwatch. Redmi Smart Band Pro weighs in at about 15 grams.
The fitness band should be available at an attractive price tag by Xiaomi, here in India. It only comes in a single Black colour option globally, so it would be interesting to see whether Xiaomi chooses to launch it with more colour options, here in India. We will have all the details around the smart band when it launches officially in India, so stay tuned for that.
